"Charlie Chaplin" Award of the
"Milazzo International Film Festival" to actress Isabella Russinova
The artistic director and founder of the "Milazzo International Film
Festival", director Annarita Campo, has decided to assign the "Charlie
Chaplin" award (dedicated to the memory of one of the greatest actors in
world film history) to the extraordinary and great actress Isabella
Russinova, already winner of the "Jury Prize" in the "Short Films" section
with the short film "Là dove continua il mare" directed by Rodolfo
Martinelli Carraresi.
Isabella Russinova was born in Sofia in Bulgaria but grew up and studied in
Italy.
She began her career as a model in Milan for the "Caremoli" agency and in
the magazines "Vogue Italia", "Lei" and others.
In 1983 she led the "Sanremo Festival" together with Andrea Giordana, Anna
Pettinelli, Emanuela Falcetti and Daniele Piombi.
You conducted "Discoring" in 1983 and 1984, "Discoestate" in 1986 with Fabio
Fazio, "Linea Verde" in 1987 and "Mattino 2" with Alberto Castaga in 1988.
He has acted in films such as "Crime in Formula One", "Tex and the Lord of
the Abyss", "Rimini-Rimini One year later", "Il commissario Lo Gatto", "Us
tough men", "The girl of Cortina", "The last king" and many others.
On TV we have seen her in numerous fiction, including: "Vacation Profession",
"A two steps from the sky", "Turbo" and many others.
Russinova is the official testimonial of Amnesty International.
She is Academica Tibertina, cultural correspondent of MACTT and honorary
correspondent of Slavic culture awarded by the Ministry of Culture of the
People's Republic of Bulgaria.
From 2011 to 2013 you directed the traditional theater "Alfonso Rendano" in
Consenza.
Since 2016 she is a Mauritian Academic by merit.
She is the founder together with her husband, Rodolfo Martinelli Carraresi,
of the production company "Ars Millennia Production", of which she is also
the artistic director.
You have received numerous awards from numerous festivals, including: "BAFF
Film Festival", "RIFF-Rome Independent Film Festival", "MIFF- Milan
International Film Festival" and others.
